Earlier this week the Marlins played four games against the Mets in Citi Field, and the series did not go well. Miami dropped three of four to fall to three games back of the second wild card spot.

Marlins skipper Don Mattingly played his entire 14-year career in New York, but across town with the Yankees. While his team was in town to play the Mets this week, Mattingly took a moment to meet a little girl in the stands. Her name? Mattingly. How about that? Here’s the video:

That is absolutely adorable. That little girl looks really young too. Her parents named her after Donnie Baseball long after his playing career ended in 1995. Diehards, they are.
