The athleticism steals all of the headlines, especially after his show-stopping dunk contest performance, but Aaron Gordon has a lot more going on in his game than just the ability to jump high. He emerged as a starter after the All-Star break for the Magic, and though he didn’t quite break out as hoped, Gordon showed plenty to get excited about, averaging 11.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 combined blocks and steals per game in 37 starts. As far as floors go for a 21-year-old, that is pretty good, and you have to think he has even more room to grow this season. Gordon might never be a featured scorer, but his ability to impact the box score across numerous categories makes him a worthy breakout candidate to target in the middle rounds.
