Steve Spurrier, 71, is enjoying his first September without football in quite some time. The legendary Duke, Florida and South Carolina coach is back in Gainesville as a consultant and ambassador for the Gators, returning to his alma mater in his first full season away from the sidelines.

Before Florida’s season opener against UMass, Spurrier was honored on the field during a rededication of the field. The Gators’ football home is now officially Steve Spurrier-Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, and the Head Ball Coach relished his moment in the spotlight. After his “Mr. Two Bits” routine, Spurrier kept the crowd going by hitting the Usain Bolt pose.
