The people of Wisconsin don’t play around when it comes to cheese and beer. Or food. The Packers are no exception, having rolled out a ridiculous 3.5-pound cheeseburger during the playoffs last year.
Green Bay is really upping the ante this year, however, introducing several new items that are borderline heart-stopping.
First up, the most Wisconsin/Green Bay thing of all time: bacon-crusted cheese curds. If you say you don’t want to bathe in that gooey goodness, you’re lying.
There’s another candidate in the “Most Wisconsin Ever” food item as well — a bacon-wrapped bratwurst in a pretzel bun. Look at that mug of dark ale. Begging to wash down this walking coronary.
Bacon is a theme among the food, and the Packers are rolling out a porker called “The Pig Skin,” a bacon-wrapped baked potato with bacon, cheddar cheese, sour cream, chili and chives.
I think Mr. Simpson says it best.
But wait, there’s more! Brats to be exact. The Packers are also trotting out “The Hail Mary Brat,” a foot-long brat that’s covered with Bloody Mary toppings and seasonings.
No it is not soaked in vodka unfortunately.
And finally, if you’re looking to warm yourself up while sitting near the Frozen Tundra, shove your face in a steaming pile of Loaded BBQ Pork Fries, which are covered in pulled pork, coleslaw, BBQ sauce, fried onions and jalapeños. Sweet mercy.
It’s nice of Wisconsin to finally get some food that will put meat on the bone of its residents.
