Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson is making an early-season statement for the best player in college football.
Whether or not he wins the Heisman Trophy is something only time will tell, but he does have a case for the early-season play of the year with this hurdle over a Syracuse defender as part of a nine-yard touchdown run in the second quarter of Friday night’s game…
Jackson and the Cardinals got off to a hot start, compiling three touchdowns on just their first five plays from scrimmage. Jackson alone has totaled more than 300 yards of offense.
The only thing hold Louisville back is, well, Louisville. The Cards have turned the ball over a couple of times and Syracuse hasn’t completely laid down.
