Flores stayed there for several moments, before walking off the field under his own power. He did not return to the field on defense; James Loney took over at first base.

Flores is batting .267 with 16 homers in 103 games for the Mets, providing reinforcement at all four infield positions. He is one of the Mets’ most potent weapons versus left-handed pitchers, with 11 homers against them and a 1.074 OPS entering play Saturday.
