Just like the Coaches Poll, too-close-for-comfort wins on Saturday affected the AP Top 25 status of Clemson and Georgia, each of which lost ground when the latest regular-season edition of the poll was released Sunday.

Georgia’s 26-24 win over Nicholls resulted in the Bulldogs dropping seven spots, from No. 9 to No. 16. Clemson fell down to No. 5 after holding on against Troy.

Arkansas makes its AP Poll debut following a thrilling double-overtime road win at TCU. Meanwhile, Alabama remains atop the rankings with 56 first-place votes.
