Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is a confident player. That confidence allows Mayfield to step outside of the expectations of a given play and create offense in a tight spot for the Sooners. That confidence also plays a role in Mayfield’s fun-loving personality off the field, where he first won over the OU fans with his impressive dance moves.

After Saturday’s win over ULM, Mayfield showed a little love to another confident star, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook.

The Year of Russ is underway. The moment that Kevin Durant left the Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors, it became so. Westbrook’s MVP odds improved in Las Vegas, and the Oklahoma community embraced the star who signed a contract extension rather than leaving. Westbrook was at the game on Saturday in a custom Sooners uniform; he was also reportedly hanging around when Mayfield wore the shirt for post game interviews.

Westbrook probably appreciates the love and the stage from Mayfield’s shout out. Now we just need to get the two of these guys together for a weekly talk show. Fashion, dance moves and athletic creativity can all be wrapped into one 30-minute program with these eclectic and energetic stars.
