If the first offensive drive of the Jets-Bills game is any indication of what’s in store for the rest of the night, then you better buckle up, because this game’s going to be a roller coaster.

On the Jets‘ first drive of the game, they fumbled twice, lost a Bills challenge and still managed to come away with three points. Oh, and did I mention that Ryan Fitzpatrick only completed two of his six passes?

The only reason the Jets were able to score any points is because they were able to do the impossible: New York converted three times on third downs where they needed seven or more yards.

The first conversion came on a third-and-10 when the Jets were at their own 25. Fitzpatrick had nowhere to go with the ball so he just threw it up in the air to Quincy Enunwa.

Two plays later, Fitzpatrick almost lost the momentum when he fumbled. Fortunately for the Jets, they recovered. One play later, the Jets converted a third-and-11 after the Bills were called for defensive holding.

The drive also saw another Fitzpatrick fumble and a challenge won by the Bills. Even after all that though, the Jets still came away with points.

The 15-play, 65-yard drive gave the Jets an early 3-0 edge, but the Bills then hit a big play to take a 7-3 lead.
