Art Briles may not be Baylor’s coach anymore, but he hasn’t stopped supporting the team.

Multiple fans snapped photos of Briles during Baylor’s game at Rice on Friday night in Houston.

It’s a little surprising, although not completely unexpected, to see Briles at a Baylor game — though it is on the road. Briles and Baylor may have parted ways, but his son, Kendal, is still the team’s offensive coordinator. And, obviously, these are players he recruited.

Briles was ousted in May amid an ongoing sexual assault scandal within the school involving former members of the football team. Officially, Briles was suspended with intent to terminate. Baylor and Briles reached a settlement in July. Former Wake Forest coach Jim Grobe has been the Bears’ acting coach.
