Maybe the fan with the Tecmo Bowl sign was right: Lamar Jackson plays just like he’s in a video game.
Louisville’s quarterback rushed for 146 yards and four touchdowns, throwing for another, as his No. 10 Cardinals made quick work of No. 2 Florida State, 63-20 on Saturday. Louisville dominated on the ground, racking up 326 yards on 43 carries (7.6 per) as Brandon Radcliff (118 yards, TD) and Jeremy Smith (16 yards, two TDs) both had field days on the FSU defense.
The Seminoles trailed by as many as 53 in the contest before scoring 10 late points after the Cardinals pulled their starters.
Some good news for FSU? The lost time a top-two team in the AP Top 25 coughed up 60+ points in a game was Nebraska in 2001. The Cornhuskers later played for the national title.
Jackson now has 18 total touchdowns on the season and remains the way-too-early front-runner for the Heisman Trophy.
Lamar Jackson has accounted for 18 TDs (10 rushing/8 passing) in his first 3 games. That’s as many or more than 3 teams had in all of 2015.
