A charter bus crash near Rockingham, N.C. has killed four and injured “between 40 and 50” people, according to CBS News. The charter bus was reportedly carrying members of the Ramah Juco Academy football team from Rock Hill, S.C. to a game against University of God’s Chosen in Raeford, N.C..
“Prayers go out to Ramah Juco they suffered a horrific charter bus accident on the way to Fayetteville to face the University of God’s Chosen. Everyone pray for Coach Bakari Rawlinson! Prayers out to you and your student athletes brother,” UGC coach Demetrius Hollingsworth posted on his Facebook page Saturday.
Authorities have not confirmed any details regarding the status of those injured or identities of those killed in the crash.
According to CBS affiliate WBTV in Charlotte, troopers believe a blown front tire caused the bus to hit the guardrail in the median but it “could take months” before an investigation into the accident is completed.
