Kyle Schwarber captured national attention last fall when he was a rookie slugger for the Cubs as they advanced to the NLCS. He homered in the Wild Card, twice in the NLDS (including one on top of the right-field videoboard in Wrigley Field) and twice in the NLCS. This came after 16 regular-season homers in 69 games.

This season, Schwarber tore his ACL in just the third game (only his second, as he didn’t play in the Cubs’ second game of the season). So it’s been a lost season for him, personally, but he’s been with his teammates in the dugout for much of the season. To continue his involvement without being able to contribute on the field, he’s the narrator for the following hype video:
