Andre Johnson is old — 35 to be exact. He’s on the downslope of his Hall-of-Fame caliber career. He’s onto his third AFC South team in three seasons.
And he still found a way to help his newest team, the Titans, win on Sunday. Against the Lions, Johnson came down with the game-winning touchdown with just over a minute remaining in the game. That catch also came on fourth down.
And yes, that’s an incredible throw by Marcus Mariota, who fit the ball between two defenders and into Johnson’s arms. Johnson was not open on the play, but Mariota still found him.
The Titans sealed the win by intercepting Matthew Stafford.
In all, Mariota went 25 of 33 for 238 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick. Johnson caught just one of those passes.
And it ended up winning the game for the Titans.
