The U has some swagger back.
Miami and Adidas unveiled two new throwback-inspired uniforms on Monday afternoon that the Hurricanes will wear on Oct. 8 and Oct. 20.
The uniforms are inspired by those worn by the championship teams of the 1980s and 1990s, including the throwback Sebastian the Ibis logo on the gloves. The Hurricanes will wear the orange jerseys with white pants against Florida State on Oct. 8 and the all-white uniform against Virginia Tech on Oct. 20.
I love the super clean look of the uniforms, which Adidas did a good job of not trying to get too busy with — which they have a tendency to do. In my opinion, these should just be the permanent uniforms for Miami, but I’m happy that they’re at least going into the rotation.
