According to MLB Network Insider Jon Heyman, the Mets are disappointed they were not able to re-sign Colon, who is reportedly getting a “great” deal with his new team.

Colon was an All-Star for the Mets in 2016, proving to be a rock in a starting rotation that was otherwise ravaged by injuries. He went 15-8 with a 3.43 ERA, leading the team with 33 starts and 191 2/3 innings pitched.
