LSU went into Texas and nabbed one of the state’s best players on Wednesday.
Four-star defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson committed to LSU on National Signing Day, choosing the Tigers over schools like Texas, Baylor, and a bunch of other schools who were all hoping to have him on their defensive line next season.
Chaisson, a native of Houston, is ranked as the No. 37 player in the 2017 class in 247 Sports’ composite rankings, and the No. 4 ranked weakside defensive end in the class.
The addition of Chaisson will ensure that LSU finishes with a top 10 class, and possibly even top five, in Ed Orgeron’s first season.
