Is Creighton going to be OK without Maurice Watson after all?
It’s probably still too early to know for sure. But, either way, man, what a great win for the Bluejays Tuesday night. They made 13 3-pointers and did something Villanova couldn’t do last month, i.e., beat Butler inside Hinkle Fieldhouse. So Matt Norlander and I discussed that at the top of this Eye on College Basketball podcast, and we agreed it’s a development that provides hope in a season that was starting to lose it.
Yes, we also talked about Malik Monk’s 37-point performance.
He’s the only reason Kentucky beat Georgia.
And we also discussed Maryland’s 20-2 record that is obviously impressive but still lacking a signature victory, which is why the Terrapins’ national ranking doesn’t line up with their winning percentage. The good news: Maryland can change that Saturday. Mark Turgeon’s team is hosting Purdue at the Xfinity Center.
Baylor vs. Kansas is Wednesday night. Massive game in the Big 12. We made predictions for that and for another game — specifically Northwestern at Purdue.
