Egypt is through to the Africa Cup of Nations final after beating Burkina Faso 4-3 in penalty kicks thanks to the heroics of 44-year-old goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary.

After playing to a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes of regulation and extra time, Egypt led 4-3 in penalty kicks after Amr Warda scored his team’s fifth attempt.

So Bertrand Traore came up to try and keep things going for Burkina and push it into another round of penalty kicks, but instead this happened.

What a hero, and what a save with his hand as Egypt gets back to the final for the first time since 2010. You just have to love the passion and emotion El-Hadary shows after that massive save.

Man, come to think of it, he’s almost as awesome as Hungary’s sweatpants-wearing keeper.

Egypt will play in the final on Sunday against the winner of Thursday’s match between Cameroon and Ghana.
